HouseParty Fortnite

Connect with your friends in Fortnite like never before! Whether you’re enjoying the game’s latest event or snagging an elusive win, the new integration with the Houseparty app offers revolutionary video chat technology that lets you video chat with your friends while playing Fortnite.

GET STARTED WITH VIDEO CHAT

House Party video chat will be available to Fortnite players on PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Players will also need an iOS or Android mobile device with the House Party app installed. Once the app is installed, link your House Party account to your Epic Games account to get started.

As a bonus for linking your Epic account and Houseparty, you will unlock the Rainbow Mist scarf.

Fortnite Rainbow Mist Pack

Note: We know that the Houseparty video chat is not available on all platforms, so we’re giving you another way to get the Rainbow Mist scarf. If you play five games of Fortnite with friends between November 20 (12:00 a.m. ET) and November 26 (11:59 p.m. ET), you’ll receive the shawl through December 4, 2020.

Link your house party to Fortnite

Once your accounts are linked, launch Fortnite on PC or PlayStation and make sure your mobile device is positioned to fully frame your face. You can now chat with your Houseparty friends while playing Fortnite.

Security Features

Fortnite’s party video chat is cropped to focus on players’ faces. You have a virtual background similar to Fortnite, so other players only see your face. Parents can disable the Houseparty video chat in Fortnite’s parental controls. Houseparty video chat in Fortnite is only available to players ages 13 and older, as you must be at least 13 years old to create a Houseparty account.
